Device-local shortlist and tester
Saved names, finalist ratings, household names, pet names, and custom cues are stored in your browser on your device. You can clear them through the tester or your browser settings. The public generator and tester do not require an account.
When you choose to run the optional sound check, Dog Name Creator forwards each candidate dog name to the Datamuse API. Household names, other pet names, custom cues, and ratings are compared in your browser and are not sent to Datamuse.
Site measurement
Dog Name Creator uses Google Analytics to receive interaction events such as page views, generator starts, filter changes, result views, saves, tester starts, sound checks, and completed scorecards, along with standard technical information used to measure site usage. We do not send dog-owner free text, candidate names, household names, pet names, or custom cues to Google Analytics.
